A wasp photo sent in to Scott Schell, who is an Entomologist and Research Scientist at the University of Wyoming Extension, is most likely the first instance of the European paper wasp in  Wyoming. These wasps are much more aggressive than the yellow jackets and honey bees that are native to Wyoming. Thankfully, the wasps can be taken care of with the right insect control products.
